Chelssi Matsuda-Arakaki
Marketing Manager, Agent, Karaoketeer & 9th Island Transplant
Born & raised on Oahu, Hawaii, Chelssi left the amazing beaches and soothing sounds of the ocean to start her new life on the “9th Island” in 2017. Coming from a past of working in post-secondary education at a small private university, she learned early on of her passion of working with people and helping others. Chelssi spent over 6 years helping students and families work through the admissions process, understanding their college path & creating a welcoming experience from start to finish for the teenagers moving into the next chapter of their lives. With her own start to a new chapter of her life on the land-locked 9th Island, she strived to find new ways to continue living her passion. This is where she found her home at Freedom 1st Insurance Group.
Although Chelssi spends a lot of her time at her Freedom 1st home, she cherishes every moment she is able to spend with her husband Keith, her son Archer & her 3 fur-babies. In the beginning of her career in the insurance industry, her son Archer was often found at the office meeting our company reps and welcoming clients with crackers and water as they came into the office. Tony would often refer to him as our Freedom 1st Mascot. At only 2 years old, Archer was following in his mommy’s footsteps and showing that he was as much of a people person as she was.

As much as Archer loves his crackers & water, Chelssi is a bit more of a “foodie”. At a whole 5’ nothing, Chelssi can eat with the best of us. She’s always looking for new recipes and searching for new restaurants to enjoy with her family.
With an appetite like Chelssi has, she’s got to find other ways to keep herself fit besides chasing Archer around the park. This is where her weekend nights come calling … or should I say she comes howling on the mic. Chelssi and her husband Keith will almost always find themselves singing their nights away to the point of exhaustion to some of her favorite songs like “Crazy Little Thing Called Love, “Enjoy The Silence” and “Rebel Yell”.
